HANGING BRIDGES AND LA FORTUNA WATERFALL
Description
The Arenal Hanging Bridges tour takes place on a 600 acre reserve filled with lush vegetation and a variety of birds and animals which your experienced guide will help you spot. The trail itself is 1.9 miles (3.1 km) in length, crossing nine fixed bridges and 6 suspension bridges and is laid out at a maximum grade of 7 degrees so that anyone can walk it. After some fruit snacks, we will drive to the famous La Fortuna Waterfall. Get ready because there are 500 steps to get down to the waterfall and of course 500 steps to get back up. Many people take breaks on their way to soak up the lush rainforest, tropical birds and variety of wildlife that you may be lucky enough to see. When you reach the bottom, you will be blown away by the beauty of this towering waterfall and have plenty of opportunities to relax on the rocks and admire the views. You can also take a swim in the cool, refreshing clear-water pools along the left-hand side of the waterfall. Lunch is also included in the tour and if you want you can combine with different hot springs.
